This T-shirt idea came to me after experiencing a sudden FND episode. I was by myself on our property, heading back to the house but still a few minutes away, when an episode hit. I lowered myself to the ground, unable to move or speak. I hoped the episode would pass quickly so that I could make my way home, even if I had to crawl. I thought how odd and strange it must look to other people to see someone who appears fine and well one minute and then is stuck and unable to move or speak the next! I started laughing, thinking how spontaneous and sporadic these episodes are and how sporadic and spontaneous FND is: FND is “spontaneously sporadic, and sporadically spontaneous. I am spontaneously sporadic, and sporadically spontaneous with FND! The irony is that I am the most non-spontaneous and non-sporadic person I know!

As I slowly made my way to the house, I envisioned this “spontaneously sporadic and sporadically spontaneous” on a T-shirt. I remember feeling very excited at the time and hoping that I would someday be able to create it and here it is!
